Zephyr McBroom with Kit and Clowder!

Here is some BIG news that I copied from the Sparkle and Glitter with Rick Blog:

Well here comes the third piece of big news we have to share with you all.

The first being the mini roll-out of new images.  The second was a massive 30 new image roll-out - both with some fun and games going on in our Facebook group.

Now we have  Rick St Dennis and Kit and Clowder teaming up this week for a special promotion.

A give-away and colouring challenge that will take place over on Kit and Clowder's Facebook group and on the Rick St. Dennis Digi Fans & Friends group.
So, as you might imagine, Facebook is the place to be this week.

What do you have to do to get in on the action?
Well, firstly, you have to be a member of the Kit and Clowder group to be able to get this image for free - for a limited period only - Monday to be precise. That's 3 days. Then she will be available to buy in the shops. (links will be available when she makes an appearance there).

All that is being asked is that you submit your (watermarked) coloured version into the challenge folder that will be set up in Kit and Clowder. Don't forget to share over at the Rick St Dennis group as well.

There will be a discount code announced to go spending in the store. You're already a winner just by finding this.

Then, as an added bonus, there will be a selection made for the bigger prizes:

  • Mr Random will pick one winner to win a choice of THREE digis.
  •  Rick himself will pick another winner - again with a prize of THREE digis.
  •   Then on top of this, there will be three random picked to win 1 digi.

Remember - we will be picking based on originality and creativity and not skill level - never feel like you aren't good enough to play along!

*Want to win some more???
Comment on what image(s) you would get using the discount code and a random winner from the comments will be picked to get a further TWO digis!

WOW - did you get all that? - so many chances to win!!

The EDT have been colouring already and you can see their versions of our cute witchy,
Ms Zephyr McBroom, by visiting the Sparkle and Glitter Blog.

Below is my first coloured version of Ms Zephyr McBroom, but I plan on colouring her in a few different colour schemes this weekend.  I will post those pics when I'm finished.

Sparkle and Glitter with Rick's September Progressive Challenge Reminder

Hi everyone.
Welcome back to the half way reminder for Rick's progressive challenge.  Same rules as before, you must use an image from either of Rick's Etsy or Zibbet stores to qualify going onto the next round.

The challenge is Anything Goes.
So, show us what you can do.  Use one of the many images that Rick has in his stores.  There are some awesome new released images as well.  Link up your project so that we can leave you some nice comments.

There are some new ways to win prizes too.  Show your work using a RSD image on the Rick St.Dennis Fans and Friends group or get chosen as pick of the week.

Also Rick will be sponsoring Kit and Clowder next weekend, so check that out as well.

Here is my make for this week:

I used Rick's Payaso de muerte image which was coloured with Copic markers and scanned to my pc.  I then used digital papers and a sketch from Smeared and Smudged's "Very Sketchy" sketch challenge and ended up with this ultra bright and ultra busy piece.  Be sure to head over to the Sparkle and Glitter with Rick blog to see more inspirational pieces from the EDT gals.

September's Progressive Challenge, Part 1

Hi everyone!
Welcome back to Sparkle and Glitter with Rick's first challenge after the summer break. The rules are the same as before.  You must use an image from either of Rick's Etsy or Zibbet stores to qualify going onto the next round.
This is an Anything Goes Challenge.

Show us what you can do. No holds barred. Will it be in preparation for Halloween? Christmas?  Does someone have an anniversary coming up that you need to make a card or a gift for?  Use one of the many images that Rick has in store and link it up so that we can come show some lurrrve.

We in the EDT have made up some projects to inspire you.  My contribution is below, but please head over to the Sparkle and Glitter with Rick Blog to see what the rest of the EDT has made for your viewing pleasure.

Here is my contribution to the Anything Goes Challenge.  Click the image to enlarge.

I made this cute card using "Euro Boy Dracool" from Rick St. Dennis.  The image was printed on Copic X-Press-It Blending Card, was colored with Copic markers and was fussy cut prior to adding Dracool to my Full Moon card.  The card is from the "Elmhurst Hallow" svg kit that I got from SVG Cuts.

I used some Graphic 45 paper for the full moon.  Black glitter paper from my stash was used for the card base, fence and bat die cut.  I used purple and lavender paper from my "use me up" bin of scraps that I've had for years and finally decided to dip into.  White dots were added to the flower with a paint pen for added interest.  A skull brad was added to the center of the flower and spider web ribbon was added to the back of the flower prior to adhering the flower to the fence on the card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Be sure to head over to Sparkle and Glitter to find out all the details for the Progressive Challenge and to see the lovely projects the rest of the EDT has made.
