Long in the Tooth part Two

I found the set of teeth I wanted to originally use in my HDH project and decided I couldn't let them go sitting unused.  Here is my second entry to Macabre Monday HDH134 "Long in the Tooth":

I like this version much better.

I started with my sister's mold of her gnarly teeth before having braces.  I colored the teeth and gums with copic markers to make the teeth look a little more gross and menacing.  I painted the rest of the mold black.

I found an old paper mache coffin and decided it would be the perfect home for the teeth.  I used awesome papers from Creative Imaginations and Modpodge to decorate the coffin.  The inside of the coffin and the bottom is painted with black acrylic paint.  The paper had this cool and toothy skull on it that I fussy cut and added to the coffin.

Above is a pic with the coffin lid off, showing the teeth.
Below is a pic of the coffin closed.

Now that I'm looking at this, I should have saved this project for the Skull Appreciation Day blog hop, but I couldn't wait that long.  I had to share it!

Cheers!

  2. LOVE it! You never disappoint Lady B! THOSE are pretty scary. At least she got them fixed and we're not talking trash about her mouth as it is now. I love that paper line. I have it hoarded. So lame. And isn't it nice to have paper mache coffins on hand? Can never have too many. Hoard those as well. So very lame.
Thanks for playing again with a second wicked project! YOU ROCK!!
