Creepmas Day 7

Hello!  I'm Lady B and I'm last on the hop list.  You should have arrived here from Lisa's fabulous blog.  If not, or if you found my blog by accident and want to start at the top of the hop list, head on over to Terra's blog.  I have posted the entire hop list below in case anyone gets lost along the way.

Pictured below is my contribution for Day 7 of the 12 Days of Creepmas blog hop hosted by Smeared Ink.  Today is another Smeared Ink day so in honour of that I used an image from the "Dark Holidaze" rubber set drawn by Rick St. Dennis and sold exclusively by Smeared Ink.  This set is now available as a digital set or digital singles in the Smeared Ink Shop!

I made a Creepmas Coffin.  I will add details later as I must go to bed.  It's way too late at night (or early in the morning) for me.  I'll be back after I get some Zzzzz's.

Happy Hopping!
~ Lady B ~

I bought my coffin from Michael's Arts and Crafts on clearance, sanded some bits smooth and chipped other bits off.  I then painted my coffin with DecoArt American Multi-Surface Satin acrylic paint in Jet Black.  This paint is awesome because it does not need any primer or sealer.  When dry, I applied DecoArt Weathered Wood  crackle medium and allowed the medium to air dry.  I then painted the top and inside of the coffin with DecoArt Americana acrylic paint in Maroon.  I sealed the crackled surface with DecoArt Texture Primer-Sealer and when dry applied my copic colored fussy cut image with DecoArt Media Matte Medium then sealed once again.

I will be entering this project into the Smudgy Antics ATG challenge.

As promised, the hop list is below:

  10. Glorious coffin and I kind of love the fact that your skelly will be uncomfortable if he squashes himself up to fit in - that's the price of style, like shoes that look awesome but give you blisters! :P
