OMG! Where does the time go?

I can't believe summer is nearly over!  I've been colouring up a storm on the many rainy days we've had and I have made a few projects, but I totally forgot to blog about my makings.  Yep.  It has happened.  I am becoming old and forgetful.

I have been on a mermaid kick this summer.  I still have a few mermaid projects to finish, but now I am distracted by Halloween coming!  I have so much to do and so little time so I will make this post short.

Below are 3 backwards canvases I have made as well as two additional mermaids I've coloured and are waiting for a home to rest their heads and fins.  All images are drawn by Rick St. Dennis and can be found in his Zibbet Shoppe. Some may be found in his Etsy shoppe too.

The canvas below uses Rick St. Dennis MFA's "Sea Sprite Two".  The Sea Sprite was coloured with Copic markers and was fussy cut and burnished for dimension. I added stones and shells from the craft store and all paints and mediums are from DecoArt (I used Gesso, Modeling Paste, Stucco Texture Medium, Sand Texture Medium and Americana paints in Cocoa, Fawn, Burlap, Titanium White.  I also used Traditions paints in Aquamarine and Titanium White).

The image below is just waiting for the perfect canvas.  Her name is "Aquarella" and she was coloured with Copic markers.

Here is my last mermaid to share.  Isn't she a beauty?!  Her name is "Pacifica" and she was coloured with Copic markers.  I can't wait to add her to a project!.

Thanks for checking out my post.  Rick has been on fire creating new images for both Halloween and Creepmas as well as traditional winter and Christmas images.  Check out his shoppes, which are linked in the post above, and see all the eye candy!  New images are being added daily!  Also, become a member of Rick's facebook fans and friends page for added inspiration and sneak peeks at the new goodies :)

Cheers!
