February's Featured Image and Challenge with RSD

Those that received RSD's newsletter will have noticed some changes. There are to be no more monthly freebies. Instead, there are two ways of obtaining the featured image.  February's image will be sent with any purchase between today (1st Feb) and the 15th.  Thereafter, the image will be available in the shoppes...On ETSY as an instant download and on Zibbet as an emailed image.

We have also changed the way the monthly prize will be awarded. The more people entering the challenge...the bigger the prize...so encourage your friends to enter and reap the benefits! The closing date for the February challenge is the 22nd. This gives us all a chance to wander through your blogs, leave some love and deliberate on our favourite project. No Mr. Random here.

Below is my version of "Happy Heart Day".

I colored this wee lad with Copic markers upon Copic X-Press-it card stock.  He was fussy cut and added to my 5"x7" card which features both plain colored cardstock as a base and torn patterned paper.  I got these on clearance and have no clue as to who manufactures the papers.  I added stickers of hearts, winged hearts and the word Love as an accent, tracing the stickers with thin, black permanent markers to make them pop from the background.

I know this project is a bit cutesy coming from me, Lady Brayton Darkart, but hey...why not expand my horizons once in awhile?  Anyway, there is a 3 Day Bloody Valentine's Day Hop coming up and I will be involved so I will let my dark side show at that time ;)

Be sure to check out the Sparkle and Glitter Blog for more details on the February Challenge and to see some inspiration from the rest of the EDT.

Cheers!
