Twisted Thursday - Smudgefest Day 4 of 7

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it today.  I've been busy studying for an exam, but I stopped in time to get some crafting done.  The Challenge for Smudgefest today was to "Make an ATC with a Twist".
The twist was left for our interpretation.  I just couldn't figure out what to make.  My mojo had gone missing.
Finally, inspiration came!

I used all Smeared Ink Stamps.  The base of my ATC is from the "Urban Decay" rubber set and can be purchased through Smeared Ink's Rubber Club.  I stamped with Versa Mark embossing ink and heat set some black embossing powder.  I colored the negative space with distress inks.  The butterfly is from the "Specimen Jar" digital stamp set.  I colored two sets of the same butterfly with copic markers and glued them together.  On the top of the butterfly I applied embossing ink and heat set clear embossing powder for a shiny look.  Then came the twist.  I found 26 gauge copper wire and twisted it around a paint brush.  I stretched out the coils and glued them between the layers of the butterfly with glossy accents.  I then adhered the butterfly to the ATC base with glossy accents.

Be sure to check out Smudgy Antics to see the other amazing submissions for Smudgefest.  There is still time to play in the fortnight challenge as well.  The theme is fussy cutting so why not combine that challenge with one of the Smudgefest challenges and double your chances of a win?

Cheers!
