Skeletal Remains- HDH165

I've been going through a lot of schtuff lately.  You'll hear more about that in a future blog post when I display a journal page I've been working on.  I'm finally on the mend and starting to find my creativity and motivation again.

I signed-up for an Andy Skinner Workshop, "The Outcasts", last year.  Sadly, due to life circumstances, I've just finally gotten around to trying the techniques.  I gathered my plaster, clay, found objects and paint this weekend and started to play.  Now I'm completely hooked!  I want to turn everything I see into a plaster casting and paint away!

In celebration of the return of my creativity and the return of my sense of self,  I decided to play along with Haunted Design House this fortnight...of course with hours to spare.  LOL...some things will never change!

The challenge theme this fortnight is "Skeletal Remains".

Here are many pics of my "excavation" piece.  Click images to enlarge.
Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!

Would you mind giving me a hint where you get all those great bone things from? I seem unable to find a shop that stocks this kind of stuff ... Suzanne x

    1. Where do you live, Grainne? Perhaps I can look for online shops in your country. Here in the USA, Halloween is very popular and skeletons can be found at almost every store from September through October. I usually wait until the end of the season and stock up on skeletons, skulls, and anything creepy. The smaller skulls are charms for pendants or bracelets. The big skull was from a skeleton doll I bought and dismembered so I could cast the various pieces.
