Spring and Easter, Please Come Soon!

I'm tired of looking out the window and seeing snow and gray skies.  I'm ready for spring to come.  I want to see sunshine, green grass, tulips and daffodils.  Spring makes me think of Easter so I decided to make an Easter tag.  My tag turned into a small wall or door hanging as I printed my focal image too large to fit onto one tag...so I used two.

Here is my creation.  Click image to enlarge.

I guess I should have mentioned I was making MY kind of Easter tag  lol.
I started out with manila tags, stencils, and Dylusions spray inks.  After getting sufficiently inky, I dried my tags with a heat gun and ironed them flat.  Is it bad that the only time I iron is when I'm crafting?

Anyway, like I said earlier, I printed my Creepster Bunny  from  Rick St. Dennis  a little too large so I adhered the two tags together.  The Creepster Bunny  was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  I added some puffy paint in his bow as well as in his eye.  I attached the poor fuzzy zombie bunny to the tags, added the "keep out" rub-on from Creative Imaginations as well as a bio-hazard sticker from the same company.  A little green ribbon was tied through the holes to act as a hanger.

This is the perfect alternative tag for those that enjoy the creepier, edgier side of crafting.  For those that prefer cute or elegant, Rick  has those items in his shop too. I will actually be posting a tag with one of his Chorus girl images, "Miss Razz Matazz",
 on Friday.

I will be adding my jumbo tag into the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew:  Challenge #31. Use Ribbon - I used ribbon to hang my creation.
Going Grey with Scrap-Creations:  Go Green - I used LOTS of green ink.
Sweet Stamps Challenge #107:  Green - I used Green Spray Inks.
Twisted Tuesday:  Spring into Green, Twist, color green or recycled - I used green inks.
Haunted Design House:  Drop Dead Gorgeous - My tag is gorgeous and the bunny is dead.
Ooh La La Creations:   Four-Legged Friends - I used a bunny rabbit.
Tammy's Scrapin Corner:   Red, Green + ribbon: Green ink, Red blood, Ribbon hanger at top.
Make it Monday:   Anything Goes
Melonheadz Friends Challenge:   Green - I used Green Spray Inks from Dylusions.

Cheers!

  1. LB~You had me ROFL. I never iron unless I'm crafting either. I will iron the ribbon so it isn't wrinkled. So, IMHO, I see nothing wrong with your approach! :) Hugs~Patti

  22. LOL I had to laugh at your comment on ironing... I don't iron clothes! My idea of ironing clothes is throwing them in dryer with something wet.. does a great job! I get my iron out to iron paper. REALLY funny!!! Love your tag! What an image!! He is awesome!! Thanks for playing along with us at Tammy's Scrapin Corner!! Good luck! I hope to see you for next weeks challenge!
