ALL THE THINGS I LOVE with Sparkle and Glitter

The new challenge is up at the Sparkle and Glitter with RSD blog.
The theme this fortnight is "All the Things I Love".

I used the sassy "Tisha" by Rick St. Dennis.  She has got to be one of my favorite images to color with those sultry eyes and funky hair.  She can be found in the Randi Dandi section of the Shop, but I will give you the link here. I love bright and bold colors, tattoos, and a bit of bling.  I think my triptych card reflects those things pretty well.  I even added heart tattoos to Tisha's neck.  It was my way of covering up the areas where my marker decided to spit-up as it was overfilled, but hey, it fit the theme :)

Tisha and the background are colored with Copic markers.  I don't remember the skin colors as I was waiting on several refills to arrive, but for Tisha's hair I used RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09 and perhaps a bit of R46.  I used G05, G09, G19 for the eyes.  The background is BG05.  I added stickles to her hair for bling and I used shimmery puffy paint on her earrings.

We are being sponsored by Sweet Pea Stamps.  They were generous enough to allow the EDT to play with some of their gorgeous images.  I used a fabulous digi by Rebecca Sinz.  The image is named "Sweet Demon".  I didn't make her look too evil.  She reminds me of myself.  She has a dark side and a soft side.  Today I colored her innocent and vulnerable, but next time I may make her menacing...depending on my mood ;)  I love dark images, anything dealing with the preternatural, and fantasy themed images.  I made a gate fold card in tribute.  As you can see, there is still some tattoo influence in this card as well.

This is the card closed with a decorative sleeve that slips off.  Flowers by Helen.  Stickers by Creative Imaginations.

I didn't add too much to the card because I wanted the image to take center stage.  I added two more stickers and some ribbon trim.  I really need to go shopping for embellishments!  I couldn't get a good pic so I flattened the card and scanned it.  The image is colored with copic markers and the background is distress inks in milled lavender, concord grape, and black soot.  As far as the copics go, the skin was E000, E00, E21, R20.  The dress and wings are V12, V15, V17, and BV08 for the darkest spots.

Be sure to head over to Sparkle and Glitter with RSD for more inspiration from the EDT as well as the prize information.

Cheers!

  5. Hello, Lady B! I saw this card on Rick's challenge blog and I just love it! I stopped by to thank you personally for the very sweet comment you posted on my blog today and also to answer your question about the colors I used on the Valentine Hat card I entered in the challenge. I think I used almost every color in the BV range from 00 to 17 with a little 08 in the darkest areas. I really layer on the color which gives the images the deep, rich quality. I have to be careful that I don't muddy it up though which has taken some practice. I rarely list the markers I use because I use so many. I hope this information helps. Love your work!

    Hugs, Anniebee
