SCRAP IT UP with Smudgy Antics

Welcome back for another challenge with Smudgy Antics!

The challenge theme this fortnight is
"SCRAP IT UP!"

Using at least one stamped image (real or digi), we at Smudgy Antics challenge you to use your leftovers.  It's the green thing to do.  Don't let anything go to waste!  You can use your paper scraps, but feel free to use leftover wrapping paper, paper rolls, gift bags, gift boxes and more from the holiday season.

BTW, starting today, you will always have 2 WEEKS to submit your projects.  Yep.  We are changing the weekly challenges to fortnight challenges to enable more of you busy folks time to play.

Here is my take on this fortnight's theme:

I have a bunch of scraps laying around.  Odd bits where I fussy cut images.  I used these bits to stamp and emboss my images.  I used leftover tag attempts from previous projects and ribbons from some of my gift packages.  The Santa hats came from various Christmas cards.  The pugs on the cards looked cute in their Santa hats, but I had a much better use for the images.  I used leftover transparency sheets and made stencils with my cricut so I could do the "ghosting effect" with my inks.

Most of the stamps I used are from Smeared Ink.
I used Edgar A. Poe and Raven Wings from the Quoth the Raven Set.  I am lucky enough to own this set in rubber and you can too if you join Smeared Ink's Rubber Club.  The Christmas Skeleton bodies are from a retired Smeared Ink set, "A Very Skelly Christmas".   On the orange tag, I used some misc cling stamps of unknown origin for extra embellishment.  They are most likely Inkadinkado if I had to guess.

FYI, for some reason if you heat emboss and use copic markers, the embossing smears.  I went with it because I don't mind a grungy look, but I thought I'd warn those that don't know about the smearing.  Perhaps I just need to change brands of embossing powder?  If anyone knows if ALL embossing powders smear with alcohol ink, let me know because if there is a brand that doesn't then I have some shopping to do.  Not only does the embossing color smear into non embossed areas, but the marker tips get stained as well.

The non scrap items I used were Dylusions spray inks, Copic markers, and Staz-on ink in opaque white and metallic silver.
