Smudgy Antics Weekly Challenge TIC-TAC-TOE 3 in a Row

Things are starting to settle down a bit here now that
The 31 Days of Halloween, Season 4, with Smeared and Smudged is finished.  Daily prize winners are listed here in the right sidebar and the grand prize winner is supposed to be announced sometime today!

We are back to business as usual for Smudgy Antics.  Being Monday, it is time for the new challenge to begin.  Don't forget, there has been a change in the rules so be sure to read and follow the rules posted on Smudgy Antics in the left sidebar in order to qualify for the coveted winner's badge and prize.

This week's challenge is a fun one.  Can I interest anyone in a game of
TIC-TAC-TOE?  Just pick any 3 items in a row from the grid below.  You can go up and down, across, or diagonally.  Please make sure to list which three items you have used in the making of your project and use at least one stamped image ("real" or "digi").

Here is my offering. Click images to enlarge.
I used the middle row going down (3D, Monochrome, & glitter).

I made a tag.  I'm new to tags and don't make them often, but I find them very fun to create!  I used "Skull Front" from Smeared Ink's "Anatomy 101" digi stamp set.  This is my favorite skull of all times to work with!  I printed the image out 6 times, fussy cut the layers, glued the layers with Silicone Household glue, and colored the top layer with copic markers.  The skull then had a good dunk in the melting pot.  I had one dented area from my tweezers, but a blast from my heat gun took care of that and evened out any bulges, chips, or mistakes.  The middle picture was taken on an angle so you can see the 3D effect a little better.

The tag is covered with awesome black and white papers that I got last year from my dear friend Helen.  Of course I ripped and distressed them a bit for a more monotone look.  You can't really tell in the pics, but I used MS Drippy Goo punch on the top, shimmery layer of black paper.  I added black danger and skull rub-ons from Creative Imaginations and the final touch was the awesome die cut spider that I received from Helen.  I coated the spider in Versa Mark embossing ink, coated it with black Zing embossing powder and heat embossed it two times.  While the second layer was still hot, I added touches of silver embossing glitter from Zing.  I added a close up so you can see the glitter.

Now that I think about it, I added fabric ribbons and fibers for the tassel of the tag.  If I would have added flowers, metal, paint and a doodle I could have made the whole grid.  Maybe I'll try that later ;)  Head over to Smudgy Antics for more inspiration from the Smeared Ink DT and then get crafting!

Cheers!
