Smudgy Antics Weekly Challenge - MASQUERADE

The Smudgy Antics Weekly Challenge theme this week is
"MASQUERADE".

Feel free to interpret this theme in any type of way you see fit.  We love to leave the themes flexible enough to allow your artistic expression to flow freely.  For those that have trouble coming up with challenge ideas or need a little guidance, see the examples below:

Create a project depicting a masquerade ball or party.
Use an image that has a mask or costume in it.
Create a mask for a masquerade.
Use a masking technique in your project.

Here is my take on the challenge:

I used an image with a mask and did some masking in the background.
Image: "Luna" from Smeared Ink's "Women of Power" digi set.
This is currently my favorite set to play with!  Luna was colored digitally in PSE8 and printed on a 4" x 6" piece of glossy photo paper.

The background was made with Ranger's "Dylusions" Spray Inks.
This was my first time playing with the inks and I LOVE them!  I added depth to the background with masking.  In some areas I spritzed water over my stencil and blotted dry leaving a lighter impression of the stencil. In other areas I spritzed ink over my stencil.

When dry, I attached my photo to the background and mounted the background onto black cardstock.  The black border seemed too plain so I doodled the border with white marker.  I doodled some lines in the white marker with a black fine point sharpie marker.  I was going to doodle around the stenciled areas, but I was afraid I would screw up my project so I stopped.
