Long in the Tooth with HDH

Hooray!  I was able to play along with  Macabre Monday HDH134
"Long in the Tooth"

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that shows us some chompers, teeth, fangs, dentures, etc.!
Creepy toothy grins to wind up teeth!
If it has something to do
with teeth, we wanna see it!

Here is my take on the challenge.  It's not really macabre, but it does involve teeth.
I created a shadow box from an upcycled mouse package.  I used it because it already resembled a shadow box and it had a velcro closure on the lid.  I made my own papers with Dylusions Spray Inks and stencils.  The teeth are a mold of my little brother's mouth before he had braces.  Originally I was going to use my sister's mold as her teeth were really gnarly and it had the top and bottom separate.  Those suckers would have been macabre!  Anyway, I lost them.  I will bet a million dollars that I find them as soon as this post goes up.

Above is a full shot of the shadow box opened.

Above is just a picture of the shadow box portion of the project.  Below is a pic of some of the papers on the outside of the shadow box.

I decided to stamp the date that I "Stole" the teeth and made the project.  I'm going to wrap this up and give it to my brother.  I'm strange like that.

Thanks for checking out my blog!
Be sure to play along with HDH this week!
