Smeared and Smudged Member Blog Hop July 2011

Every month at Smeared and Smudged we have a members' blog hop.  This month the girls wanted us to to step away from cards and ALTER a 3D object.  The  only rule was that had to have a stamped image or sentiment on it somewhere.  Unlike some of my talented friends, altering objects does not come easy for me.  I actually had to scrap my first two projects and ended up altering a metal tin.

Here's the result:

The sugar skulls are from Smeared Ink's "Calaveras" digi set, the sentiment is from Smeared Ink's "Zombie Pinups" digi set, the papers are from Crafty Chaos Designs, and the ribbon is Creative Imaginations.

I cheated a little due to time constraints and because I trashed my first two projects.  The colored images were used on a scrap layout I made a few days ago.  I just printed them and the paper and went to town with modpodge.

The blog starts at 9 am Pacific Time.

Below is the hop list:

BTW...Smeared Ink is having a DT call.  Click here for details.
