It’s Skull Appreciation Day! It all started at a little blog called Skull A Day. Here’s what they wrote about this new international holiday: “We here at Skull-A-Day have decided that there needs to be an official international day of cranial love! To that end we're starting a campaign to get June 4th (the day Skull-A-Day started) officially recognized as Skull Appreciation Day around the world in 2011, and of course to get as many people celebrating it as possible.”
So, the members at Smeared & Smudged (Thanks Steph for starting it all!) decided it would be fun to do a massive member blog hop. And I do mean massive! We have 37 people in our hop today! That alone is cause for celebration! I think it’s awesome that so many folks have come together for such a unique day…all creating something fabulous and…well…skully! You should be coming to me from Dawn's blog, but if not…go back to the beginning at Terra’s blog (which has ALL the info on the hop). I will have the entire hop list at the bottom of my post though. We have many amazing sponsors for this hop, so please be sure to stop by everyone’s blog…or you might miss out on some great prizes!
Here are my contributions. Yep. I made more than one project. I wish I had time to make a dozen as I love working with skulls!
BTW...although I am posting this on Friday, the hop and Skull Appreciation Day begins on Saturday June 4th, 2011.

WARNING...my blog has some ADULT CONTENT. You may want to view this when the kiddos are outside playing or taking a nap.
This first project uses a digital skull stamp from Smeared Ink. I colored it digitally and added some light effects. The papers are digis from oscraps and the purple roses are Itkupilli.
My second project is a digital skull made from several mini digital skulls. Pretty cool, huh?! I'm loving PSE!
This one cracks me up! I took a pic of Barbie and Ken celebrating Skull Appreciation Day in their "special way". Do you like Ken's tattoo? It's the skull image from Smeared Ink. I used digital papers from Crafty Chaos Designs and used the scrapbook sketch from Smeared and Smudged's "very sketchy" challenge.
Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Donna!
Amazing work, Lady B! I must say I'm getting a chuckle out of that last one! (Naughty girl!) xxD

ReplyDeleteGREAT digital projects, wish I had a program and knew how to do it!
ReplyDeleteI am still cracking up on the ken and barbie creation...so totally cool and freaky!!
No little kids(they are almost 29-girl, just 25-boy almost 24-girl), and we were always very open with them as they grew and asked questions, not like how I grew up. :( My kids kids learned that the body is the body, and just a shell, who a person is, is what is inside, they also learned that sex, and illness and death are all part of living. So I totally get, and love the K&B card!! LOL
You definitely ROCKED this hop!!
inky hugs,
Susan
