Smeared Ink Saturday

Saturday is my posting day for Smeared Ink DT projects.  I'm going to kick-off this Saturday Old-Skool.  Yup.  I'm bringing classic back and unleashing my inner freak.

I went back into my stamp stash and brought out an oldie, but a goodie...my Mermaid Carnie Stamp!  I think this was the second Smeared Ink stamp set I owned so it holds a special place in my heart.  She is stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The background is a scenery stamp, but I don't remember which brand.  The sun and clouds are colored with Copic markers as well.  I added shimmer with spica gel pens.  I'm out of my good paper so my coloring is a bit smeared, but I think that adds to the charm of this piece.  The matting cardstock is DCWV.

Fast forward to one of my more recent Smeared Ink Stamp sets to ring in 2011:

This hottie is "Vanity" from Smeared Ink's "The Symbology of Angels" rubber stamp set.  Sorry.  I just HAD to objectify him a bit.  The first project with Vanity is more romantic...my version of a Valentine's Day card for a bestie.  The second project with Vanity is all out stripper-rific!  Both projects were stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Copic markers.  Everything else, including the rose in Vanity's teeth, was digitally added.  I love hybrid projects!

I hope you've enjoyed the eye-candy.  Tune back in next week for more inky goodness.  What?  Can't wait until next week for your Smeared Ink fix?  Head on over to the forum to see the awesomeness that our little group has been creating.  One of the new things on the forum is a daily art journaling group.  You must check it out!  There are also monthly challenges with cool prizes.

Cheers!
