Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween - Day 4!!!

Welcome to the biggest, baddest, creepiest Halloween stamping event on the web!

(Or at least we'd like to think so!)

Welcome to day 4 of the 31 days of Halloween sponsored by Smeared and Smudged, the ning group for Smeared Ink Stamps.  I'll keep this posting short as you participants know the rules already.  For those that don't know what the 31 days of Halloween is about, you can get the deets here.

My humble offering for today is a theme you will see frequently in my work over the next month...ZOMBIES!  I love zombies!!!

Stamps:  Smeared Ink "Build a Zombie Alphabet"
Paper: DCVW photo stack and some random clay coated cardstock
Markers: Copic sketch
Crow: MS acetate die-cut

Ok.  So I've been big on the clay coated paper these days.  It provides an awesome stamped image (I use Memento jet black ink as it is copic-friendly).  There is a downfall to the clay paper.  The markers don't blend well on it.  However, if the markers are kind of dotted on the paper it makes a cool water color effect. If using copics on clay paper...keep scrap paper around to wipe off any residue on your markers after use.

For an awesome painted effect, try using distress inks on clay paper.  It works fab.  I guess clay papers are also good for acrylic and water colors, but I haven't tried that yet.

Here is the blog roll for today:

Thanks for Stopping By!
Cheers!
