Smeared and Smudged DT Blog Hop-September Edition

Not only is it the end of the month, but it is also the end of the first term for the Smeared Ink DT.  We've had an awesome six months and it has been a blast working with all of these lovely ladies!  In celebration, the Smeared Ink DT is having a blog hop.  We all have some amazing stamps from Smeared Ink that we have been working with over the months.  Our challenge for the end of the term blog hop was to see how we can mix them together!  We were challenged is to use at least 3 different sets to create one amazing project! We were able to use as many images as we wanted, but we had to use images from at least three different sets!

Here is my creation.  Sorry about the crappy photo.  It truly does not do the project justice!  Overall, I am actually really pleased with the way this turned out!   It has that campy feel of a B horror flick.

If you really want to go old skool, here is the same project in black and white with the Holga-ish application on picnik.  Pretty cool, huh?

I am struggling with one thing.  What should I title my lovely creation?  I'm going to try to get this published even though it's not a mainstream "happy" stamping project.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  If you could, leave your title suggestion in the comment section.  At the end of the week I will announce the winning title.

I used "Chicks Dig Guns", "Holy City", and "Build a Zombie Alphabet" for my project.  It is actually quite large for a stamped project.  It measures 7.5 x 11 inches.  The papers are DCWV.  I stamped my project with Memento ink, using masking techniques in some areas and cutting out my stamped images in other areas.  Everything is colored with copic markers.  I lost track of the colors used.  I can say that I only own the Manga set B and the figure drawing set if that helps to narrow it down. I messed up on the chick's skin tone so I did even her out with some prisma markers.  If you look closely you can see that I used a couple stamps from holy city and also repeated one of the stamps a few times to fill in the area.  The zombies were cut a bit to separate and reposition their arms.  The way I use the zombie stamps is to stamp and color the images first, then I cut them out piece by piece and assemble them.  It just works easier for me as my masking technique is not the best.  Work smarter, not harder...that's what I say!  The gate was made by the devil herself, Martha.  I attached it with brads so as not to have adhesive showing through.  The only non-smeared ink stamp is the blood splatter.  Sorry.  I don't remember who made that one.  I stamped with versa mark, used white embossing powder, heat embossed, colored with R59 copic marker, and coated with red glitter nail polish.  I think I may have a contact high going right now from the fumes!  Sorry about the long ramble!  I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen.

Here is the list of bloggers for the last DT hop of this term.  Leave everyone some love if you can.
~Cheers!~
