Ohhh....wait a sec...!  There's more!
Smeared Ink is once again hosting The 31 Days of Halloween!!!!!  What's that?  It's 31 days of creative chaos with a Halloween theme of course.  There are projects posted daily for your creepy inspiration.  Prizes can be won for participants as well as blog hoppers.  There is so much info about this month-long event so rather than messing up the deets, just click the link above for the 411.

Now for my eye candy!  I was lucky enough to work with a few images from Smeared Ink's "Build a Zombie Alphabet".  Talk about a cool set!  Click the pics for a larger view.  This alphabet absolutely rocks!  The letters are gory and gross!  Perfect for Halloween greetings!  The zombies come in separate parts so they can be mixed and matched to create the perfect combo of creep!  I had so much fun with these images!  I'll have to get the rest of the set!!!

For my first card, I colored my zombie parts and the graveyard with copic markers.  The graveyard background is from Smeared Ink's "Holy City" rubber stamp set.  Don't these sets look like they are made for eachother?  The cardstock is DCWV and the goo border punch is MS.  I did add some diamond glaze for some shine.

My second card also utilizes DCWV cardstock and the Devil's goo border punch.  Here you can get a look at the zombie alphabet which I colored with copics, punched out with a 1 inch circle punch, and glued into beer caps.  Some of my glue oozed out by the zombie's foot.  I like the look so much that I'm going to add some more glue and let it drip and dry to resemble slime.  FYI...diamond glaze can be tinted!  I'm thinking toxic green or blood red would be cool!  The zombies (from Build a Zombie Alphabet) and graveyard are also colored with copic markers.  The graveyard background here is also from Smeared Ink's "Holy City" rubber stamp set.  The bat brads are Making Memories.

Here's my thrifty tip of the day:  Buy your beer caps from a liquor store or an online store that sells microbrewing supplies.  It's way cheaper than anything you can buy at the craft stores.  Of course recycling is even thriftier with the added bonus of being able to toss back a few cold ones!
