"Wood" You Like To Be In A Movie?

Presenting Rio- Ed Wood Style!

I have a card to share with you that I am entering into 2 challenges.  First, The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #11, which is to create in Black and White…Ed Wood style! The second is for the Simply Betty Sketch challenge.  I altered the sketch slightly, but tried to stay fairly true to it.

I started with "Rio" from Simply Betty Stamps and her pet bat.  I used some type of coated paper I found.  I really don't know what it is coated with.  My copics didn't like the surface too much and I couldn't get really blendy, but the shininess of the image resembles a photo IRL!  Way cool!  I popped her up a bit with foam adhesive squares and mounted her on a tree-stamped piece of the white coated cardstock.  The background paper has those awesome dimensional "rain drops" on it.  The other DP was actually paper designed for a prom layout, but I chopped of the little dance quote and ended up with some cool black and silver paper.  Some barbed-wire ribbon and the title of Wood's "Night of the Ghouls" movie...and my project was complete!  I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.  I've never used a black and white color scheme  on a card before.  Without color, I was forced to add interest with pattern and texture.  It was a challenge for me, but it was a challenge I enjoyed!
