Yes, my lovelies, it is time again for yet another Smeared Ink Blog Hop! This month's hop includes some of Smeared Ink's Design Team Members as well as some very talented ladies that follow Smeared Ink's Blog. The only requirement is that the project must contain a stamped image somewhere. Other than that, one can feel free to express one's self! We see projects ranging from cute to creepy and sweet to sinister. The Smeared Ink Ladies are very supportive of all artistic styles and skill levels. Everyone brings something unique to the table and the experienced and novice artists alike learn from and inspire each other. Enough talk! It's ROLL CALL time!

Here is my submission for the blog hop. I used ching-chou kuik's "Flowing in Blue" rubber stamp purchased from Sweet Pea Stamps. I colored her in a vivid color scheme. I probably should have toned down the green a little, but unfortunately I need refills on just about every marker color I own. I was lucky to have enough ink to finish this piece of lovely! I think she still turned out pretty well.
The background was made with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in a watercolor fashion. FYI...I found out, accidentally, that distress inks, when dry, are compatible with copic markers. Whodathunkit? I used watercolor 140 pound paper, misted it with water, and smeared my distress inks (firebrick red, rusted hinge, and marigold) in different areas. I put the ink pad directly to the paper. I misted the inked areas and rubbed a wet cotton applicator over my areas to blend slightly. I did this with the paper at a 45 degree angle so the ink would flow downward and a watercolor fashion. It turned out pretty cool! I then dried my paper with a heat tool as I tend to be impatient when it comes to crafting. I then stamped autumn leaves with Staz-On ink (red and brown) and matted my watercolor paper as well as my colored image. The brown floral paper is from deja-vu I believe. I got an 8 inch stack at Archiver's for $1.50 USD!!! I love a deal! The circle sentiment is from the same paper stack. I just added a little lock and key embellie and Bam! I have a card!
