This is color challenge number 8 over at Off The Wall Craftiness (OTWC).  Here is the inspiration photo from which the blue and yellow color scheme was chosen.

This was a difficult challenge for me as I tend to be the queen of vibrant color.  I am not accustomed to using such soft colors.  Rather than going with the rain, baby shower, wedding concept I just used the colors for inspiration.  I still kept my card on the edgy side.  I used Smeared Ink's "chicks dig guns" rubber stamp set.  I love this set!  The images are awesome, the rubber is deeply etched, and the set arrives on a 8.5" x11" sheet of rubbery goodness.  Of course, no project can ever run smoothly.  My flesh-tone markers are sucked dry.  I guess I've been doing more coloring than I realized!  Time for refills.  Although I didn't have my preferred flesh colors, I think the image turned out alright.

If you like what you see, check out Smeared Ink for other stamp sets or check out the Smeared and Smudged Forum to see the amazing designs utilizing Smeared Ink Stamps.  Don't forget to hop on over to Kim's blog to see what the others came up with for OTWC challenge #8.  The ladies put a lot of work into their projects and deserve some props!

Thanks for looking!
