Smeared and Smudged Blog Hop

I'm going to post a teaser project now as I must rush off to an appointment.  Two other projects will be posted later.  I've been a busy girl.  Busy and sleep deprived!  You see, I got "a happy" in the post yesterday after work.  My Smeared Ink stamps (http://www.smearedink.com/) AND my Copic markers arrived so naturally, I had to play.  Artsy stuff or sleep?  Artsy won out.  I was like a kid on Christmas Day!

Let me start out with talking about Smeared Ink Stamps.  They ROCK!  I knew the designs would be awesome, but I had no idea that the quality of the stamps would be so great.  The stamps come on an 8.5"x11" rubber sheet.  You don't just get an image or two.  The sheets are jam packed with stampy goodness.  These stamps are thick too.  The deep etching will allow use on so many different types of mediums.  I can't wait to use them with gesso and clay.  Be ready for many altered items to come.  My little brain is swimming with ideas.  I can't wait until the weekend so I have more time to truly appreciate the greatness of the stamps.  Since I just received my stamps last night...and had to clean my house in preparation for a party...I'll post my Smeared Ink project later in the day.

I also participated in the Bombshell Blog Hop this week.  I just finished my project, but still must post it to the bombshell site.  My computer is having issues so this probably won't happen until tonight.  This means, dear readers, that you get the first peek at my first bombshell blog hop creation.  The item I made for the bombshell blog hop is a bit different than my usual work.  Those that have seen my previous work probably wouldn't even know this piece came from me.  I used the Butterfly Queen, minus the wings, and altered her bikini top.  For this hop we were supposed to incorporate metal.  I used colored tin that was embossed for the background of my card and used cardstock with foil roses as well.  I like to multi-task so this card will also be entered in Smeared and Smudged Forum under "sassy pants".  Here it is.  I hope you like it.

Now for the teaser project.  This is what I made for the Smeared and Smudged blog hop before all of my new yummies arrived in the mail.  This is my version of an Easter card.  I don't know the exact manufacturer of the skull stamp, but I bought it from http://www.goreydetails.com/.  The wings behind the skull are from Tim Holtz, another one of my favorites.  I'm a bit twisted in that all of my holiday cards end up with skulls of some sort on them.  I even decorate the skulls in my house for holidays....which reminds me...I really MUST find some bunny ears for the skulls in my library.  For those interested, the paper used is DCWV.  I'll post which pack in a bit (as I don't remember off hand).  I cut the egg and the letters with my cricut using the designer calender cart.  The card I made is rather simple, but it was sooo much fun to make!

I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen so far.  Remember to come back later to check out my Smeared Ink and Bombshell projects.  Cheers!

Hopefully this link will post.  If not, I'll adjust it as soon as I get back.  Be sure to check out the work from the awesome ladies participating in the Smeared and Smudged Blog Hop.  Also, check out the Smeared and Smudged Forum and hang out with the kick ass ladies and gents in the group.
