Smeared Ink Saturday...One Day Late!

With being sick, trying not to take a day off work, and all of the Halloween challenges and preparation I completely forgot to post my Smeared Ink Saturday Post!  OMG!  I must be losing it!  Anyway, being Halloween I decided to share additional Halloween images from Smeared Ink.  I hope you gals are not tired of Halloween yet!

These projects all utilize the Creepy Li'l Grumpies from Smeared Ink.  Are they not the cutest?!  They are all colored with copic markers and mounted on digital backgrounds from Itkupilli that I printed onto photo paper.  I further mounted these onto DCWV cardstock.  I hope you like what you see!

Happy Halloween!!!

12 days of Halloween with SBC

Woo Hoo!! Here it is the 12th Day of Halloween!  We finally made it to the last day! What fun this has been and now I cant wait to see who the winner of all the treats will be!!!

But before we find out we need to do the 12th day..

So here is the theme..

On the 12th Day of Halloween my ghoul love gave to me 12 dancing Witches .

I used Simply Betty Stamps for my Hybrid projects.  I colored these awesome images from Betty's Victorian Beauties Halloween collection, colored them up with copic markers, scanned them into my computer, and used photo editing software to create the creepy textures.

Well that's it.. Be sure to hop on over and check out what the other ghouls have done for your inspiration. I do hope you all have a spook-tacular Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged - Day 30!!!

One more day till Halloween!!!!!

Here is my offering for Day 30:

As you can see, I've gotten quite fond of hybrid projects.  All the projects above use Simply Bety Stamps and were colored with copic markers on plain white paper.  I then scanned the images onto my computer and used Picnik photo editing on Flickr to create the backgrounds and textures.  Pretty cool, huh?

Since I'm last on the hop list, I won't bother posting the blog list.  You all know where the stops are by now anyway.  In case you are new to this, check out the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween for deets.

Cheers!

Halloween is almost here!!!
Welcome back for Day 28 of the 31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged.

Here is my offering for today:

This is another awesome image from Strange Skin.  I went for a campy B movie look here.  I colored my zombie with copic markers and made the background with scraps of DCWV, 7 gypsies, and K and Company papers.  I added the edges of caution tape and called it done.

SBC 12 days of Halloween: Day 10 & 31 Days of Halloween with S&S - Day 27

Hello blog land! We are almost at the end of our 12 days over at SBC, just two more to go! Woot woot!

On the 10th day of Halloween my Ghoul love gave to me... 10 Creepy Spiders, spinning their webs just for me! Incorporate spiders into your projects! Good luck everyone! You have until the 28th at 11:59PM PST to upload your projects to inlinkz on the SBC blog (once it is up and running agian that is).

This is a hybrid project.  I used "Sassy Witch Mina" from Simply Betty's Victorian Beauties Halloween Digi collection.  I colored her with Copic Markers and scanned her.  I uploaded my pic to flickr and used picnik editing tools to add the cool spiderweb and cemetery backround as well as the grungy texture.  I love the way this turned out!  I think I may have to invest in photoshop (and learn how to use it) so I can make more cool hybrid projects in the future!

This project will also count towards my 31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged.  Here is the blog roll for you 31 day hoppers:

Cheers!

31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged - Day 26!!!

OMG!
Do I have a project for you today!!!
I was going to save this for Halloween, but today Strange Skin is sponsoring the 31 days of Halloween so I wanted to share one of my favorite projects thus far which was made with a Strange Skin Digi Stamp.  This beauty came from the Zombie Attack collection and was colored with Copic Markers.  I mounted my zombies onto DCWV photo paper that resembles bricks and mounted the entire thing onto generic cardstock.  I drew additional dripping blood to make it extend down the wall more.  I used Distress inks to make the eerie background and to dirty-up the brick wall a bit.

Enjoy!

31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged - Day 25

It's Day 25.  Halloween is almost here!  I hope you've been enjoying the 31 days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged.

Today I bring you Frankengrumpie...or at least that's what I call him.  He is from Smeared Ink Stamps "Creepy Li'l Grumpies" collection and arrived at my doorstep last week.   I finally got around to inking him up.  Is he not the cutest?  He is colored with copic makers and placed on a digi background by Itkupilli.  The papers are DCWV and K and Company.

Cheers!

31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged - Day 24

I'm having technical difficulties.  I can't seem to load the project I wanted to share so I am posting a repeat project until I can get my darn computer working properly.

This is made with Tiddly Inks and Smeared Ink Stamps and colored with Copic makers.

Here is one of my favorite scrapbook pages:
It was inspired by a gutter girlz prompt and contains zombified pictures and stamped spider webs.

Here is a Sneak Peek of my project for the 26th day of Halloween

Let me see if I can get today's project to work.  I colored my Simply Betty Stamps image, Rio (from the emo halloweenies collection) with copic markers, scanned her, and added her to a digital template.  I was playing with digital software and not having much luck with it.  I couldn't get my image to save or upload.  I think I finally got it working.   Here goes:

Here are some pics from an artist I like, Mister Reusch:

If I can get today's artwork to upload I will post it.  For now, accept my apologies and enjoy the rest of your day.

Smeared Ink Saturday

For those that don't know, I am a DT member for Smeared Ink Stamps.  Not only does Smeared Ink have awesomely dark, gothic, and alternative stamps (as well as some fun and whimsical images), they have their own forum where like-minded stampers, scrappers, and mixed-media artists come together to network, collaborate, and inspire eachother.  The group is supportive of all artistic styles, there are frequent challenges with prizes, they have monthly image and ATC swaps, and it is free to join.  Why not come by and see what it's all about.  Share your artwork.  Make some friends.  Learn new techniques.

Saturdays are my days to share my artwork created with Smeared Ink Stamps.  We've been so busy at Smeared and Smudged with our 31 Days of Halloween that I only have one new project for you today.  If you scroll through my older blog posts you will be sure to see more smeared ink ark as I've created tons of stuff with their awesome stamps.  Be on the look-out next week as my "Creepy Li'l Grumpies" have arrived at my door as well as "The Symbology of Angels".  Expect some greatness as soon as I get these suckers cut and ready to stamp.

Speaking of cutting stamps, I wanted to share my favorite tool for this purpose.  This is Tim Holtz's micro-serrated non-stick scissors by Tonic Studios.  They can be bought at Michael's Arts and Crafts, Archiver's, and several other brick and online craft stores.  They run around 11-15 USD and are worth every penny!  They cut through the thickest rubber like a hot knife cuts through butter.  I bring this up because Smeared Ink Stamps are thick and deeply etched.  Trying to cut them with an exacto blade or a lesser pair of scissors will leave one's hands too tired and cramped to craft.  These babies do the trick for me...and I am arthritic.

This will also be listed under a new forum header at Smeared and Smudged called "Into the Dark".  The "Into the Dark" section of Smeared and Smudged will be an area that focuses on stamping tools of the trade.

Okay, back to my main purpose...!  Here is another ATC I made with Smeared Ink's "As Death" stamp set.  I started with clay coated paper and smeared three colors of Distress Ink directly from the pad to the paper.  I stamped my image with Staz-On ink and cut it out.  I then backed it with generic black CS and mounted that onto a digi background from Itkupilli.  This combo was then mounted on DCWV CS and more generic black CS.

Thanks for Stopping by!

31 Days of Halloween with Smeared and Smudged Day 23

I've had a migraine since yesterday so I'm going to keep this short.  Here is my offering...an ATCs.  It is not too elaborate, but I promise I have some wicked projects in store for you next week.  I used Smeared Ink's "as death" rubber stamp set, cut out the skele, and mounted him on a digital Itkupilli background.  I kept this project a little more lighthearted as I've been working on some dark stuff recently.  Tune in next week for the darkness!

-Here are my humble offerings for today's release-
This is Peter and his new buddy:

This is Chloe with her Cookies:

Both images are colored with Copic markers and mounted on DCWV cardstock.  I kept the cards simple as, quite honestly, I was too lazy to break out the Christmas cardstock.  I did find some Christmas stickers that were not packed away.  I believe the Christmas lights are from Creative Imaginations and the stocking and presents are from Sandylion.  Sorry, I don't remember where the ornament came from.

Thanks for stopping by!
